Privacy Policy

This Policy explains what personal data SmartDriver collects, for what purpose, and what your rights are. The data controller is Fernando Manuel Gomes Aleixo Dorotea, a sole trader, Portuguese tax ID (NIF) 166705667, reachable at geral@smartdriver.pt.

The short version: offers are read on your own phone. We do not send your screen content to any servers. We only collect what is needed to manage access (account and licence) and, if you use that feature, the zones you draw on the map.

1. What data we collect

The App does not collect or send your screen content, screenshots or offer text to any server. All of that analysis happens on your device.

2. How we use the data

Activate and validate your access to the App;
Restore your no-go zones if you reinstall the App or switch phones (by signing in with the same account);
Contact you about your subscription (e.g. an upcoming expiry notice);
Comply with legal and tax obligations related to selling the Service.

3. Where it is stored

Account and licence data are stored on Firebase (Google), on infrastructure within the European Union. The website and payments are processed through our hosting and payment providers.

4. Sharing with third parties

We do not sell your data. We share only what is strictly necessary with service providers that support our operations (hosting, authentication, payment processing), subject to their respective confidentiality commitments.

5. Your rights

Under the GDPR, you have the right to access, correct, delete, or request portability of your data, as well as to object to its processing. You can exercise these rights at any time by contacting geral@smartdriver.pt. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Portuguese data protection authority (CNPD).

6. Data retention

We keep account data for as long as the account is active. After cancellation or deletion of the account, data is deleted or anonymised, except where the law requires longer retention (e.g. tax obligations).

7. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. The date at the top of this page indicates the latest version.
