How to install SmartDriver

You can install and open the app without an account. A trial or plan is only required when you try to turn on SmartDriver Radar.

Android only. The app isn't available for iPhone yet. You'll need an Android phone.

  1. Download the app

    Tap the button below on your Android phone. The APK downloads directly, with no invitation or email required.

  2. Install the APK

    Open the downloaded file. Android may ask for permission to install apps from this source; enable it for Chrome or the app used for the download.

  3. Follow the guided setup

    On first launch, SmartDriver guides you through the required permissions: overlay, accessibility, notifications and battery.

  4. Open the app and turn on Radar when ready

    Installing does not start the trial. When you turn on Radar, choose a 15-day trial or a paid plan and create your account then.

Minimum requirements

  • An Android 10 phone or newer
  • The platform app installed on the same phone, such as Uber and/or Bolt
  • An internet connection to activate (the traffic light then works offline)
  • On first use you grant a few permissions: accessibility, screen overlay, notifications and location

The download is public and does not require an email or tester account. Inside the app, start with 15 free days or go straight to a 1, 3 or 12-month plan. Radar stays off until access is active.
